The Impactzone Competitions Schedule 2008

Competition  is a crucial part of the process in the mastery of any chosen art.  it's a demonstration by the practitioner, that his path, his way in the journey of that mastery is either correct, or in need of further refinement.  In the case of arms, training classes are necessary, their purpose is to safely suggest the way, through the shared experience of a master, they indicate right direction in technique and tactics, encourages discipline and a process to practice.  But in the end you must take what you see, what you hear, what you read and what you experience and turn it into your own way.  It is ultimately your endeavor.  To stand in the arena before others and demonstrate your way, reveals to all and mainly your self whether you put your faith in the truth or just a facade of smoke! and to deny yourself the opportunity to experience such an aspect of the journey is a mistake.

Match fee's and equipment requirements very from club to club as do the rules of competition with the variety of shooting sports.   We suggest you contact one of the organizations or  clubs listed below and speak with a club officer,  they will help your first match become one of many  to remember.

From it's concept to present day The Impactzone has held a high standard for visiting instructors, our facility is only open to those instructors with unquestionable credentials. The Impactzone  will only host and associate it's name with those instructors that have lived and applied their expertise outside of a classroom!     The following is a list of instructors  that utilize the facility  The Impactzone recognizes each as providing quality instruction in their field of expertise, as well as a through working  knowledge of teaching and the principals of education.

Resident Instructor Phil Oxley demonstrating one of many contact distance techniques.   Phil's professional firearms experience spans over a 28 years and he continues to enjoy a competitive shooting career with current wins in regional and state level competitions.  

Brian Hoffner Tactical Shooting Skills for Life    Brian is currently a fulltime senior firearms instructor and defensive tactics instructor for the nations fourth largest police department as well a manufacture of tactical holsters and equipment.

Texas Concealed Handgun licenses, new application and renewal classes, Instructor Mike O'Neill

New application $150.  min 10 hrs all inclusive, fingerprint, photo, notary and lunch. Class starts at 8:am   2009  May 16th /  July18th

Renewal class $90. min 4hrs all inclusive fingerprint, photo, and notary. Class starts 8:am 2009  June 20th/ Aug 15th.

(the founding father of modern day pistol craft)  With 17 years working for Gunsite, Bill has taught more classes and initiated more programs for Gunsite than anyone other than Jeff Cooper!
